The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that it omits beach walks and bay-front park walks, which are the best of Tampa Bay area walking.

This book is small and light enough to take along on your hike - very handy.

The organization is excellent - distance, hiking time, and difficulty are always given, along with notes about such things as trail surface, fees, maps, whether dogs are allowed, etc.

The locator map and individual trail maps are excellent. Driving directions include the trail head GPS coordinates - VERY handy for remote locations where a street address does not exist or is not marked. And you can plug their exact GPS coordinate syntax into Google Maps and see not only a map, but a satellite view of the trail head.

After years of experience with various hiking books with faults such as the lack of a locator map, obscure directions, and lack of detail about difficulty or trail surface, I am very impressed with the small, handy volume.
